12 Bible Verses about No Food

For when we were with you, we gave you this commandment, that if any one will not work, neither let him eat.

for a friend of mine, who is on a journey, has come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?

But when he came to himself, he said, How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I am perishing with hunger!

And the wine having failed, the mother of Jesus said to him: They have no wine.

Philip answered him: Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not enough for them, that each may take a little.

And there came a famine, and great affliction on the whole land of Egypt, and of Chanaan: and our fathers found no sustenance.

And his disciples came to the other side, and had forgotten to take bread.

And they reasoned with one an other, saying: It is because we have no bread. And Jesus perceived it, and said to them: Why do you reason, because you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive, nor understand? Is your heart still hardened?

In those days, the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to him and said to them:

I have compassion on the multitude, because they have continued with me now three days, and have nothing to eat.
