And this shall be the border of the land toward the north side, from the great sea, the road to Hethlon, as men go to Zedad;
And this shall be your north border: from the Great Sea you shall mark out for you mount Hor: From mount Hor you shall mark out your border unto the entrance of Hamath; and the end of the border shall be at Zedad: And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the end of it shall be at Hazarenan: this shall be your north border.
And the border from the sea shall be to Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus, and the north northward, and the border of Hamath. And this is the north side.
And the east border was the salt sea, even unto the mouth of the Jordan. And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south slope of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lies before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of the giants northward: And the border extended from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border went around to Baalah, which is Kiriathjearim: And the border turned from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along to the side of mount Jearim, which is Chesalon, on the north side, and went down to Bethshemesh, and passed on to Timnah: And the border went out unto the side of Ekron northward: and the border went around to Shikkeron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out to Jabneel; and the end of the border was at the sea.
Now these are the names of the tribes. From the north border along the road to Hethlon, as one enters Hamath, to Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus northward, in the direction of Hamath; for these are the sides east and west; a portion for Dan.
