8 Bible Verses about Not Welcoming People

And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town.

And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town shake off the dust from your feet as a testimony against them."

But whenever you enter a town and they do not receive you, go into its streets and say,

and they turned aside there, to go in and spend the night at Gibeah. And he went in and sat down in the open square of the city, for no one took them into his house to spend the night.

And he said to him, "We are passing from Bethlehem in Judah to the remote parts of the hill country of Ephraim, from which I come. I went to Bethlehem in Judah, and I am going to the house of the Lord,but no one has taken me into his house.

And the LORD said to me, "Son of man, mark well, see with your eyes, and hear with your ears all that I shall tell you concerning all the statutes of the temple of the LORD and all its laws. And mark well the entrance to the temple and all the exits from the sanctuary.

So if I come, I will bring up what he is doing, talking wicked nonsense against us. And not content with that, he refuses to welcome the brothers, and also stops those who want to and puts them out of the church.

If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting,
