And he opened the pit of the abyss; and there went up a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay; And he set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

And if a man shall open a pit, or if a man shall dig a pit and not cover it, and an ox or an ass fall therein,

And thither were all the flocks gathered. And they rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the sheep, and put the stone again upon the well's mouth in its place.

Then said Joshua, Open the mouth of the cave, and bring forth those five kings unto me out of the cave.

Jesus saith, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time the body decayeth; for he hath been dead four days. Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou believedst, thou shouldest see the glory of God? So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou heardest me.

Now on the first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, while it was yet dark, unto the tomb, and seeth the stone taken away from the tomb.

And they were saying among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the tomb? and looking up, they see that the stone is rolled back: for it was exceeding great.

And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.

and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints that had fallen asleep were raised;
