We are not commending ourselves to you, but giving you occasion of boasting in our behalf, in order that you may have response to those who glory in appearance, and not in heart.
So many as wish to make a fair show in the flesh, these compel you to be circumcised; only that they do not suffer persecution on account of the cross of Christ.

likewise that the women adorn themselves in comely apparel, with modesty and prudence; not with braided hair, and gold or pearls or costly garments; but whatsoever becomes women professing godliness, through good works.
