Wisdom is found in the words of the discerning person, but the one who lacks wisdom will be disciplined.
Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline will drive it far from him.
Do not withhold discipline from a child; even if you strike him with the rod, he will not die. If you strike him with the rod, you will deliver him from death.

"For the Lord disciplines the one he loves and chastises every son he accepts." Endure your suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is there that a father does not discipline?
