Remember Jesus Christ of the seed of David, who was raised from the dead, according to my gospel:

For I received from the Lord, that which I also delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which He was betrayed took bread: and gave thanks, and brake it, and said, "Take and eat; this is my body, which is going to be broken for you: this do in remembrance of me." And in the same manner He took the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant ratified in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink of it, in remembrance of me."read more.
As often then as ye eat of this bread, and drink of this cup, ye commemorate the Lord's death till he come.

For whatever things were written heretofore, were written for our instruction; that we through patience and the consolation of the scriptures might have hope.

Now these things were examples for us, that we might not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

least there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one repast gave away his birthright.

For so also formerly the holy women, who hoped in God, adorned themselves, being submissive to their husbands; as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him her lord: whose daughters ye are, if ye do well, and are not terrified with any sinful fear.

who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son: in whom we have redemption by his blood, even the remission of sins.

Brethren, I count not myself to have attained it: but one thing I do, forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to those before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

But then indeed, when ye knew not God, ye served those which in reality are no gods. But now that ye know God, or rather are known by God, how is it that ye turn again to the poor weak elements, to which ye desire again to be in bondage as before?

who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the holy Spirit, and of the good word of God, and the powers of the gospel-age, and yet fall away, should be renewed again to repentance: since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God, and make an open example of Him.

But he, that hath not these, is blind, or short-sighted, having forgot his baptismal purification from his former sins.

Yet I have somewhat against thee; for thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works: else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of its place, if thou repent not.

Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent: for if thou be not watchful, I will come upon thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know at what hour I will come upon thee.

Wherefore though God overlooked the times of this ignorance, He now requireth all men every where to repent.

crying out, and saying, "Sirs, why do ye these things? we also are men subject to the like infirmities with you, and we preach the gospel unto you, that ye may turn from these vanities to the living God, who made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and all things therein, who in generations past suffered all the nations to walk in their own ways: though He left not Himself without witness;

by so much is Jesus become the surety of a better covenant.

God, who at sundry times, and various ways, spake of old unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken to us by his Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds.

Now by saying, a new covenant, He hath antiquated the first: and what is antiquated, and groweth old, is near it's exit.

how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself spotless to God, purify your conscience from dead works, that ye may serve the living God? And on this account He is the mediator of a new covenant, that undergoing death for the redemption of transgressions against the first covenant, they that are called might receive the promise of an eternal inheritance.

And of this the holy Ghost also beareth witness with us: for after He had said, "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and on their minds will I inscribe them; He adds, and their sins and their iniquities I will remember no more."read more.
Now where there is such a remission of these, there needs no more offering for sin.

and to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than Abel.

even that mystery which was hid from former ages and generations, but is now manifested to his saints: to whom God would make known the rich glory of this mystery, among the gentiles; which is this, that Christ is in you the hope of glory:

Now to Him that is able to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, (conformable to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret in former times, but is now manifested, and made known to all nations by the writings of the prophets, according to the appointment of the eternal God,

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, that hidden wisdom which God ordained before the worlds for our glory:

having made known to us the secret of his will, according to his good pleasure, which He had before purposed in Himself:

as ye have heard the dispensation of the grace of God, which was given me to preach unto you: that by immediate revelation He made known to me the mystery, (as I wrote before in brief, by which, when ye read it, ye may perceive my knowledge in the mystery of Christ,)read more.
which in other generations was not made known to men, as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; that the Gentiles should be co-heirs, and of the same body, and joint-partakers of his promise in Christ, by the gospel:
