The arrogant shall not stand in your sight. You hate all workers of iniquity.

For though the LORD is high, yet he looks after the lowly; but the proud, he knows from afar.

Be of the same mind one toward another. Do not be arrogant, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own conceits.

Therefore let him who thinks he stands be careful that he does not fall.

Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility, towards one another; for "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."

But He gives more grace. Therefore it says, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."

Surely he is scornful to scoffers, but he gives grace to the humble.

Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. By what manner of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith.

He spoke also this parable to certain people who were convinced of their own righteousness, and who despised all others. "Two men went up into the temple to pray; one was a Pharisee, and the other was a tax collector. For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? "And Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."

But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them, and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree; do not boast over the branches. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil. I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth.

I will silence whoever secretly slanders his neighbor. I won't tolerate one who is haughty and conceited.

LORD, my heart isn't haughty, nor my eyes lofty; nor do I concern myself with great matters, or things too wonderful for me.

For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.

Love is patient and is kind; love does not envy. Love does not brag, is not proud,
