God, who at sundry times, and various ways, spake of old unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken to us by his Son,

And in these days came down prophets from Jerusalem to Antioch. And one of them, named Agabus, stood up and signified by the Spirit, that there would be a great famine over all the earth: which accordingly came to pass in the reign of Claudius Cesar.

And let but two or three of the prophets speak, and the others judge.

And as we abode there several days, there came down from Judea a certain prophet named Agabus: and he came to us, and taking up Paul's girdle, and binding his own hands and feet, he said, Thus saith the holy Spirit, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man whose girdle this is, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.

Now learn a parable from the fig-tree: when it's branch is tender and bringeth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh; so ye also, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near even at the doors. Verily I tell you, this generation shall not pass away, till all these be fulfilled.read more.
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Happy is he that readeth, and those that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things that are written therein: for the time is near.

and if any one take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things that are written in this book.
