12 Bible Verses about Questioning Life

Therefore I turned about to cause my heart to despair concerning all the labor in which I had labored under the sun. For there is a man whose labor is with wisdom, and with knowledge, and with skillfulness, yet he shall leave it to a man who has not labored in it for his portion. This also is vanity and a great evil. For what has a man of all his labor, and of the striving of his heart in which he labors under the sun?

What profit has man from all his labor in which he labors under the sun?

What profit has he who works in that in which he labors?

I am a wretched man. Who will rescue me out of the body of this death?

Thou are righteous, O LORD, when I contend with thee. Yet I would reason the case with thee. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are all those at ease who deal very treacherously?

And he said to him, Why do thou call me good? There is none good except one, God. But if thou want to enter into life, keep the commandments.

The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt. They have done abominable works. There is none that does good.

But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree. Who determined the measures of it, if thou know? Or who stretched the line upon it? Upon what were the foundations of it fastened? Or who laid the corner-stone of it when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? And the people spoke against God, and against Moses, Why have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, and there is no water, and our soul loathes this light bread.

And in those days men will seek death, and will, no, not find it. And they will long to die, and death will flee from them.
