The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against Jehovah and against his Anointed One.

Aaron is not going to enter the land I promised to give to Israel. He is going to die, because the two of you rebelled against my command at Meribah.

You both rebelled against my command in the Desert of Zin. You did not show the people how holy I am when they were complaining at the oasis. This was the oasis of Meribah at Kadesh in the Desert of Zin.

All will go well with you if you honor Jehovah your God, serve him, listen to him, and obey his commands. If you and your king follow Jehovah all will be well. But if you do not listen to Jehovah but disobey his commands, he will be against you and your king. He was against your fathers because they disobeyed.

Do not rebel against Jehovah. Do not be afraid of the people who live there. We will conquer them easily. Jehovah is with us and has defeated the gods who protected them. Do not be afraid.

Jehovah said to Moses: Put Aaron's staff in front of the testimony. Keep it there as a sign to warn any other rebels. Then you will stop their complaints about me, and they will not die.

Listen you kings, be wise (show discernment) and be warned you rulers of the earth. Serve Jehovah with deep respect and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed (happy) are all who take refuge (put trust) in him.

But you, son of man, listen to what I say. Do not be rebellious like those rebellious people. Open your mouth and eat what I give you.

Pronounce them guilty, O God. Let them fall by their own devices. In the multitude of their transgressions thrust them out, because they are rebellious against you.

Then they will go out and look at the corpses of those who have rebelled (sinned) against me. The worms that eat them will not die. The fire that burns them will not go out and they will disgust all humanity.

Put to death any interpreters of dreams or prophets that tell you to rebel against Jehovah. For he (Jehovah) rescued you from Egypt, where you were slaves. Such people are evil and are trying to lead you away from the life that Jehovah has commanded you to live. They must be put to death, in order to get rid of this evil.

God sets the lonely in families. He frees the prisoners who are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

Because of this, Jehovah says: 'I am going to get rid of you. Before this year is over you will die because you have told the people to rebel against Jehovah.'

Jehovah says: 'I will punish Shemaiah from Nehelam. I will also punish his descendants. No one from his family will be left alive. He will not see the blessings that I am going to send my people,' declares Jehovah, 'because he has encouraged rebellion against Jehovah.''

Jehovah is upright. I have rebelled against him. Listen all you people and see my pain. My virgins and my young men are taken away as prisoners.

For we have done wrong. We have rebelled against your law. We have not received your forgiveness.

The people of Samaria are guilty as charged because they rebelled against their God. They will be killed in war, their children will be smashed to death, and their pregnant women will be ripped open.

O Jehovah, to us belongs shame, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against you. To Jehovah our God belong mercies and forgiveness. We have rebelled against him.

Do not let anyone deceive you about this in any way. That day will not come unless apostasy (a falling away from truth) takes place first, and the man of lawlessness (sin), the man of destruction, is revealed. (2 Timothy 4:3)
