And Jesus answered him, "Simon, I have something to say to you." And he said, "Teacher, say it." "A certain creditor had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. When they had nothing with which to pay him back, he freely forgave them both. Now which of them will love him more?" Simon answered, "I suppose the one to whom he forgave more." And he said to him, "You have judged rightly." Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head. You gave me no kiss, but this woman has not ceased to kiss my feet from the time I came in. You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with perfume. Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little." And he said to her, "Your sins are forgiven." Then those who reclined at the table with him began to say among themselves, "Who is this who even forgives sins?"

One Sabbath, when he went to dine at the house of a ruler who belonged to the Pharisees, they watched him.

but they constrained him, saying, "Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is now far spent." So he went in to stay with them.

And Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.

One of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him, and he went to the Pharisee's house, and reclined at the table.

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.
