Masters, render to your servants what is just and equal, knowing also that you have a master in heaven.
For the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who went out early in the morning to hire laborers in his vineyard. And agreeing with the laborers for a denarius [14 cents] a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
His Lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few [talents], I will place you over many: enter into the joy of your lord.
Know you not that those who run in the race all indeed run, but one takes the prize. So run that you may obtain. And every one that contends in the games is temperate in all things, they indeed to obtain a perishable crown, we an imperishable.
Let the elders who rule well be accounted worthy of a double compensation, especially those who labor in word and teaching. For the Scripture says, You shall not muzzle the ox that threshes; and, The laborer is worthy of his reward.

If therefore your enemy is hungry, give him food; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for doing this you shall heap coals of fire on his head.
You have heard that it was said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. But I tell you not to resist the evil man; but whoever shall strike you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also; and if a man wishes to have a law suit with you, and take away your coat, let him have your cloak also;read more.
