Now it came to pass while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul having passed through the upper parts of Asia came to Ephesus:

And the Lord said unto him, Arise and go into the street which is called Strait, and enquire in the house of Judas for one Saul, of Tarsus:

And as they were going by the way, there was one said to Him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest:

And Jesus replying said, There was a certain man going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among thieves, who after they had stripped and beaten him, went away, leaving him half dead. And by chance a certain priest came down that way, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he was travelling, came up to him, and when He saw him,

And as they went on their way, they came to a certain water: and the eunuch said, See here is water, what hindereth me from being baptized?

And He disappeared from them. And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, as He was talking with us by the way, and while He was opening to us the scriptures?

And he came to Capernaum; and when He was in the house, He asked them, What were ye disputing about among yourselves by the way?

Carry neither purse, nor bag, nor shoes; and salute no one by the way.

then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drank in thy presence,

And as he was near to Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way-side begging.

go therefore into the public streets, and as many as ye meet with invite to the wedding. And those servants went out into the high-ways, and brought in all they met with, both bad and good: and the wedding was filled with guests.

So the servant came and told his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go directly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the lame, and the blind. And the servant said, Sir, it is done according to thine order, and still there is room. And the lord said to the servant, Go out into the high-ways and hedges, and press them to come in, that my house may be filled:

And when thou prayest, be not like the hypocrites; for they love to pray in public assemblies, and in the corners of the streets, that they may be taken notice of by men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.
