And his lord, incensed, delivered him up to the torturers, till he should pay all that he owed him. Even so also will my heavenly Father do to you, except ye forgive every one of you his brother, from your hearts, their trespasses.
And lo! a person coming to him, said, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, in order to attain eternal life? Then he said to him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, even God: but if thou art desirous of entering into life, keep the commandments. He saith unto him, Which? But what things were gain to me, these have I counted loss for Christ. But glory and honour and peace be to every man who doeth that which is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek: for there is no acceptance of persons with God.
For by grace ye are saved through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: not by works, lest any man should boast;
But now distinct from the law the righteousness of God is manifest, receiving testimony from the law and the prophets; the righteousness of God indeed by faith in Jesus Christ unto all and upon all that believe: for there is no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;read more.
