The men of Beth Shemesh said, "Who is able to stand before Yahweh, this holy God? To whom shall he go up from us?"
'Shall mortal man be more just than God? Shall a man be more pure than his Maker?

They have all gone aside. They have together become corrupt. There is none who does good, no, not one.
Lord, righteousness belongs to you, but to us confusion of face, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, who are near, and who are far off, through all the countries where you have driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against you.
When I choose the appointed time, I will judge blamelessly. The earth and all its inhabitants quake. I firmly hold its pillars. Selah. I said to the arrogant, "Don't boast!" I said to the wicked, "Don't lift up the horn.
Thus says Yahweh: Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from Yahweh.
For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, there is no way you will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
For being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they didn't subject themselves to the righteousness of God.
Yahweh has made known his salvation. He has openly shown his righteousness in the sight of the nations.
I bring near my righteousness, it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not wait; and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
My righteousness is near, my salvation is gone forth, and my arms shall judge the peoples; the islands shall wait for me, and on my arm shall they trust.
Thus says Yahweh, Don't let the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, don't let the rich man glory in his riches; but let him who glories glory in this, that he has understanding, and knows me, that I am Yahweh who exercises loving kindness, justice, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, says Yahweh.
For in it is revealed God's righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, "But the righteous shall live by faith."
and by him everyone who believes is justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
But of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:
For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
For we, through the Spirit, by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.

Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith.
For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not toward God.
For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn't receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?
If I must boast, I will boast of the things that concern my weakness.
He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.
For even they who receive circumcision don't keep the law themselves, but they desire to have you circumcised, that they may boast in your flesh. But far be it from me to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
However, what things were gain to me, these have I counted loss for Christ. Yes most certainly, and I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, my Lord, for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and count them nothing but refuse, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;
