I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee:

But he that doubteth is condemned if he eat, because it is not of faith; for whatsoever is not of faith, is sin.

But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God, must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doth evil, hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

A good man out of the good treasure bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

A good man, out of the good treasure of his heart, bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man, out of the evil treasure of his heart, bringeth forth that which is evil; for of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

Knowing this, that the law doth not lie against a righteous man; but against the lawless and disobedient, against the ungodly and sinners, the unholy and prophane, against killers of their fathers or their mothers, against murderers,

Whosoever committeth sin, transgresseth also the law; for sin is the transgression of the law.

Thou that gloriest in the law, dost thou by transgressing the law dishonour God?

Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the likeness of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. Yet not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if by the offence of one many died, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, that of one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as the loss by one that sinned, so is the gift; for the sentence was by one offence to condemnation; but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.read more.
For if through one man's offence death reigned by one, they who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness, shall much more reign in life, by one, even Jesus Christ.

For whosoever shall keep the whole law, but offend in one point, is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. If then thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.

And forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.

And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. And as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. Then the servant falling prostrate at his feet, said, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. And the lord of that servant, moved with tender compassion, loosed him and forgave him the debt. But that servant going out, found one of his fellow-servants who owed him an hundred pence, and seized him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. And his fellow-servant falling at his feet, besought him saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. And he would not, but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. But his fellow-servants, seeing what was done, were very sorry, and came and gave their lord an exact account of the whole matter. Then his lord calling him, said to him, Thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou intreatedst me. Should'st not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow-servant, as I had pity on thee? And his lord being wroth, delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due to him. So likewise will my heavenly Father do to you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

For all have sinned, and are fallen short of the glory of God,

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge our conscience from dead works, to serve the living God?

Therefore to him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

And that servant who knew his Lord's will, and prepared not, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

Who knowing the righteous judgment of God, that they who do such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in those that do them.

But he that knew not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For to whomsoever much is given, of him much shall be required; and to whom they have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

And now, brethren, I know that thro' ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.

having put me into the ministry, Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecuter, and a reviler; but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
