Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places.

Stand firm in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are accomplished in your brothers in the world. After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will perfect, establish, and strengthen you.
Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion walks about, seeking whom he may devour (consume).
Brothers, if someone is caught in any kind of wrongdoing, those of you who are spiritual should set him right. But you must do it in a gentle way. And keep an eye on yourselves, so that you will not be tempted, too.
With prayer and supplication pray at all times in the Spirit. Watch with all perseverance and supplication for all the holy ones.

Watch and pray continually that you do not enter into temptation!
Peter was kept in prison. Prayer was made without ceasing by the congregation to God for him.
Pray that we may be delivered (rescued) from perverse and evil men, for not all have faith.

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man.
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
Put on the full armor (every implement) of God, that you may be able to stand against the cunning (inventive) (clever) methods of the devil.
For that reason, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore and gird your loins with truth. Also take up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
