I beseech you, brethren: mark them which cause division, and give occasions of evil contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not the Lord Jesus Christ: but their own bellies. And with sweet preachings and flattering words deceive the hearts of the innocents:

Moreover, of your own selves shall men arise speaking perverse things, to draw disciples after them.

And many shall follow their damnable ways, by which the way of truth shall be evil spoken of;

The spirit speaketh evidently that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, and shall give heed unto spirits of error,

I marvel that ye are so soon turned from him that called you in the grace of Christ, unto another gospel: which is nothing else, but that there be some which trouble you, and intend to pervert the gospel of Christ.
