"Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the Prophets: No, I am not come to destroy them but to fulfill them.

And he began at Moses, and at all the prophets, and interpreted unto them, in all scriptures which were written of him.

For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: For he wrote of me. But seeing ye believe not his writing, how shall ye believe my words?"

And he said unto them, "These are the words, which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you: that all must be fulfilled which were written of me in the law of Moses, and in the Prophets, and in the Psalms."

Search the scriptures: for in them, ye think ye have eternal life; and they are they which testify of me. And yet will ye not come to me that ye might have life.

And he closed the book, and gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all that were in the synagogue, were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, "This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears."

All this was done that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled." Then all the disciples forsook him and fled.
