Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that we might no longer be inslaved to sin:
For they who are after the flesh, mind the things of the flesh; but they who are led by the Spirit, do mind spiritual things.
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, such as, adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, enmities, strifes, emulations, animosities, contentions, divisions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and the like: of which I forewarn you, as I have also told you before, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Mortify therefore your members that are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, disorderly passion, evil concupiscence, and insatiable desire, which is indeed idolatry:
Wherefore as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, so death passed upon all men, for to that all have sinned:
That, which is born of the flesh, is flesh; and that, which is born of the Spirit, is spirit. Do not wonder that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

because the carnal mind is an enemy to God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be: and they who are carnal, cannot please God.
Is there any man among you, who, if his son ask him for bread, will give him a stone? or if he ask for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to them that ask Him?
for when the Gentiles, who have not the law, do by nature the duties of the law, these though they have not the law, are a law to themselves, and shew the work of the law written on their hearts, their conscience witnessing together with it, and their own thoughts either accusing, or excusing them,)
For that which I do, I allow not: for I do not that which I would; but what I hate, this I do.
Now if I do that which I would not, I am no more the doer of it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Now to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace: because the carnal mind is an enemy to God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be:
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire: this is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the lake of fire.
