And after he who tempts came, he said to him, If thou are the Son of God, speak so that these stones may become bread. But having answered, he said, It is written, Man will not live on bread alone, but on every word coming out through the mouth of God.

Again, the devil takes him onto an exceedingly high mountain, and shows him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them. And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible to thee. Remove this cup from me, but not what I want, but what thou want.

Because I have come down from heaven, not so that I might do my will, but the will of him who sent me.

And when all things are made subordinate to him, then the Son himself will also be made subordinate to him who subordinated all things to him, so that God may be all in all.
