three ye shall give on this side Jordan and three in the land of Canaan.

Then Moses severed three cities on the other side Jordan toward the sun rising,

thou shalt appoint three cities in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it.

Wherefore I command thee, saying, 'See that thou appoint out three cities.'
