And I stood upon the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and upon his horns ten diadems, and upon his heads names of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power, and his throne, and great authority.

And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed. And the whole earth wondered after the beast.

And there was given to him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemy; and power was given to him to work fortytwo months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.

Here is the mind that hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. And they are seven kings; five of them are fallen, one is; the other is not yet come, and when he hath come, he must remain a short time. And the beast that was, and is not, he is an eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.read more.
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, who have received no kingdom as yet, but receive authority as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and give their power and authority to the beast.

And another, a second angel, followed, saying: Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, which hath made all the nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
