And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, which had seven heads and ten horns; and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the names of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his throne, and great authority.

And I saw one of his heads as it were mortally wounded, but his deadly wound was healed: and all the earth wondered and went after the beast.

And there was given him a mouth speaking great and blasphemous things, and power was given him to make war forty two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and those that dwell in heaven.

To this the mind that hath wisdom will attend: for the seven heads are seven hills, on which the woman sitteth. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, one is, and another is not yet come; and when he cometh, he is to continue but a little while. And the beast that was, and is not, he is the eighth, and is as one of the seven, and goeth into perdition.read more.
And the ten horns, which thou sawest, are ten kings, who have not yet received a kingdom, but shall receive power as kings for a limited time with the beast. These are of one mind, and will give their power and authority to the beast.

And another angel followed, saying, Babylon the great city is fallen, is fallen; because she made all nations drink of the wine of her furious fornication.
