And in the fourth watch of the night, he went to them, walking on the lake. And seeing him walking on the lake, they were dismayed, saying, It is a spectre; and they cried out for fear.

When therefore they had rowed about twentyfive or thirty furlongs, they saw Jesus walking on the lake, and drawing near the boat; and they were afraid.

And Peter answering him said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come to thee on the water.

And he said, Come. And Peter, coming down from the boat, walked on the water, and came to Jesus.
