Truly, truly do I say to you, He that heareth my word, and believeth him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and cometh not into condemnation, but hath passed out of death into life.

in hope of everlasting life, which God, who cannot lie, promised from the most ancient times,
not by works of righteousness which we did, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the bath of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit, which he poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Saviour, that having been accepted as righteous by his grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of everlasting life.
Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure; for if ye do these things, ye will never fall. For in this way the entrance will be richly furnished you into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
