But He said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.

And every day in the temple and from house to house they ceased not from teaching and preaching that Jesus was the Christ.

But as they believed Philip, preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women;

But some of them were Cyprians, and Cyrenians, who when they came to Antioch, discoursed with the Grecians also, preaching the Lord Jesus.

and how shall they preach unless they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good tidings of peace, who bring the good tidings of good things?

that I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, administring the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the holy Spirit.

And Philip coming to the city of Samaria, preached Christ unto them.

And after much debate, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Brethren, ye know that a good while ago, God, who was among us, chose that the Gentiles should hear by my mouth the word of the gospel, and believe.

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not in fine speech, least the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.

For if I preach the gospel, yet I have no ground for boasting; because I am under necessity to do it: and wo is me if I do not preach the Gospel.

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached to you at first, which ye received, and wherein ye stand. By which also ye are saved, if ye retain it as I preached it to you: unless indeed ye have believed in vain.

Not boasting of things beyond our limits in other men's labors; but having hope that, when your faith is increased, we shall be abundantly enlarged by you according to our line, to preach the gospel in places beyond you; and not to boast in another's province of things ready prepared for us.

And He commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is He who is appointed by God to be judge of the living and of the dead. To Him do all the prophets bear witness, that whosoever believeth on Him shall receive the forgiveness of their sins through his name.

The day following John was standing, (and two of his disciples,) and looking upon Jesus as He was walking, he saith, "Behold the lamb of God."

This Jesus hath God raised up from the dead, of which we all are witnesses. Therefore being exalted by the right hand of God, and having received of the Father the promise of the holy Spirit, He hath poured forth this gift, which ye now see and hear.

And according to his custom Paul went in among them, and for three sabbath-days discoursed to them from the scriptures; opening them and shewing, that the Messiah was to suffer and rise again from the dead: and that this is the Christ even, Jesus, whom, said he, I preach unto you.

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have contemplated, and our very hands have felt concerning the Word of life, (for this Life was manifested, and we saw it; and we testify and declare unto you that eternal Life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us) what we have seen and heard we declare unto you, that ye also may have communion with us: and our communion is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. But how shall they call upon him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe on him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Now after John was cast into prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent, and believe the gospel.

Be it known therefore unto you, brethren, that through Him is preached unto you the remission of sins: and by Him every one that believeth is justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

and bringing them out, he said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thine house. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all in his family.read more.
And he took them at that very time of the night, and bathed their stripes: and was baptized, he and all his immediately after. And he brought them into his house, and spread a table for them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his household.

And he discoursed in the synagogue every sabbath-day, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks.

I know that thou believest them. Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou almost persuadest me to be a Christian.

by whom we have received grace and apostleship to preach the obedience of faith for his name's sake, to all nations;

Whether therefore I or they laboured most, thus we preach, and thus ye believed.

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men: but if not, we are manifest unto God, and I hope we are also manifested to your consciences:

These therefore being sent forth by the holy Spirit came down to Seleucia, and from thence they sailed away to Cyprus. And when they arrived at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John for their assistant.

And passing through Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia. And when they had preached the word at Perga, they went down to Attalia.

And Paul saw a vision in the night, There stood a certain man of Macedonia, intreating him and saying, Come over into Macedonia and help us. And as soon as he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to depart into Macedonia, concluding that the Lord called us to preach the gospel to them.

After these things the Lord appointed also seventy others, and sent them two and two before Him, into every city and place, whither He himself was about to come.

And He calleth unto Him the twelve, and sent them forth two and two, and gave them power over impure spirits;

Then he invited them in, and entertained them that night. And on the morrow Peter set out with them; and some of the brethren from Joppa went with him.

And at Iconium they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great number both of the Jews and of the Greeks believed.

And when they had passed through Phrygia and Galatia, being forbidden by the holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia, they came to Mysia, and endeavoured to go to Bithynia:

Then the brethren immediately sent away Paul towards the sea: but Silas and Timothy remained there. And they that conducted Paul attended him to Athens: and receiving an order to Silas and Timothy, to come to him as soon as possible, they departed.

in every prayer of mine) for your attachment to the gospel, from the first day even till now;

But be thou watchful in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, give full proof of thy ministry.

And the Lord said to Paul by a vision in the night, "Fear not, but speak: and be not silent: for I am with thee, and no man shall lay hands on thee to hurt thee; for I have much people in this city." And he staid a year and six months, teaching among them the word of God.

And Paul abode two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came to him: preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ, with all freedom, none forbidding him.

Till I come attend to reading, to exhortation, and teaching. Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

preach the word, be instant both in season and out of season; convince, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and instruction.

For we are not like many who adulterate the word of God: but as with sincerity, but as from God, and in the sight of God, we speak concerning Christ.

For this is our rejoicing, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and pious sincerity, not with carnal wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and especially towards you.

For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of impurity, nor in guile: but as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God, who trieth our hearts. For neither at any time used we flattering speech, as ye know, nor covetous pretence, God is witness:

so we, being affectionately desirous of you, were willing to impart to you, not only the gospel of God, but even our own souls, because ye were dear unto us. For ye remember, brethren, our labor and toil; for working night and day, that we might not be burthensome to any of you, we preached among you the gospel of God.

I have coveted no one's silver, or gold, or apparel: and ye yourselves know that these hands have ministred to my necessities, and to those that were with me.

and we labour working with our own hands. When we are reviled, we bless: when persecuted, we bear it: when defamed, we intreat.

Or is it I only and Barnabas, that have not power to forbear working?

so am I: are they ministers of Christ? (if I may speak as a fool) I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes far exceeding, in prisons more frequently, and often even in deaths. From the Jews I have five times received forty stripes save one. Thrice I have been beaten with rods, once I was stoned, thrice I have been shipwrecked, and was a night and a day on the deep:read more.
in journies often, in perils from rivers, in perils from robbers, in perils from my own nation, in perils from the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the desert, in perils on the sea, in perils among false brethren: in labor and toil, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness: and beside these outward troubles, that which besets me daily, the care of all the churches. Who is infirm, and I am not infirm also? who is offended, and I am not inflamed?

and laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the public prison.

save that the holy Spirit testifieth in every city, that bonds and afflictions await me. But none of these things move me, nor do I account my life dear, so that I may finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Then the commanding officer came near and took him, and ordered him to be bound with two chains; and inquired, who he was, and what he had done.

and for me particularly, that utterance may be given me, that I may open my mouth with freedom, to make known the mystery of the gospel: for which I am an ambassador though in chains: that I may speak boldly in behalf of it, as I ought to speak.

So they took his advice, and having called for the apostles and scourged them, they charged them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

And the populace rose up together against them: and the officers stripped off their clothes, and ordered them to be scourged. And when they had given them many stripes, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely.

and cast him out of the city and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man, whose name was Saul.

But there came thither some Jews from Antioch and Iconium, and persuading the multitude, stoned Paul, and dragged him out of the city, supposing him to be dead.

and he talked and disputed with the Hellenists, who attempted to kill him:

And the whole city was moved, and there was a concourse of the people: and they laid hold on Paul, and dragged him out of the temple; and immediately the gates were shut. And as they were going to kill him, a report came to the tribune of the cohort, that all Jerusalem was in an uproar:

Serving the Lord with all humility, and many tears, and trials which befel me by the ambushes of the Jews.

But though we had suffered before and been injuriously treated, as ye know, at Philippi, we spake boldly in the name of our God to declare unto you the gospel of God with much conflict.

I say the truth in Christ, I lye not, (my conscience bearing me witness in the holy Ghost,) that I have great grief and continual sorrow in my heart:
