'Again' in the Bible
And again he sent a third; and they, having wounded him also, cast him out.
Pilate therefore, desirous to release Jesus, again addressed them.
Again, on the morrow, there stood John and two of his disciples.
Jesus answered and said to her, Every one who drinks of this water shall thirst again;
He came therefore again to Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain courtier in Capernaum whose son was sick.
This second sign again did Jesus, being come out of Judaea into Galilee.
Jesus therefore knowing that they were going to come and seize him, that they might make him king, departed again to the mountain himself alone.
And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him; and he sat down and taught them.
And again stooping down he wrote on the ground.
Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world; he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
He said therefore again to them, I go away, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sin; where I go ye cannot come.
The Pharisees therefore also again asked him how he received his sight. And he said to them, He put mud upon mine eyes, and I washed, and I see.
They say therefore again to the blind man, What dost thou say of him, that he has opened thine eyes? And he said, He is a prophet.
And they said to him again, What did he do to thee? how opened he thine eyes?
He answered them, I told you already and ye did not hear: why do ye desire to hear again? do ye also wish to become his disciples?
Jesus therefore said again to them, Verily, verily, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
On this account the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it again.
No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have authority to lay it down and I have authority to take it again. I have received this commandment of my Father.
There was a division again among the Jews on account of these words;
The Jews therefore again took stones that they might stone him.
They sought therefore again to take him; and he went away from out of their hand
and departed again beyond the Jordan to the place where John was baptising at the first: and he abode there.
Then after this he says to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.
The disciples say to him, Rabbi, even but now the Jews sought to stone thee, and goest thou thither again?
Jesus says to her, Thy brother shall rise again.
Martha says to him, I know that he will rise again in the resurrection in the last day.
Jesus therefore, again deeply moved in himself, comes to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.
Philip comes and tells Andrew, and again Andrew comes and Philip, and they tell Jesus.
Father, glorify thy name. There came therefore a voice out of heaven, I both have glorified and will glorify it again.
On this account they could not believe, because Esaias said again,
When therefore he had washed their feet, and taken his garments, having sat down again, he said to them, Do ye know what I have done to you?
and if I go and shall prepare you a place, I am coming again and shall receive you to myself, that where I am ye also may be.
A little while and ye do not behold me; and again a little while and ye shall see me, because I go away to the Father.
Some of his disciples therefore said to one another, What is this he says to us, A little while and ye do not behold me; and again a little while and ye shall see me, and, Because I go away to the Father?
Jesus knew therefore that they desired to demand of him, and said to them, Do ye inquire of this among yourselves that I said, A little while and ye do not behold me; and again a little while and ye shall see me?
And ye now therefore have grief; but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one takes from you.
I came out from the Father and have come into the world; again, I leave the world and go to the Father.
He demanded of them therefore again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus the Nazaraean.
Peter denied therefore again, and immediately the cock crew.
Pilate therefore entered again into the praetorium and called Jesus, and said to him, Thou art the king of the Jews?
Pilate says to him, What is truth? And having said this he went out again to the Jews, and says to them, I find no fault whatever in him.
They cried therefore again all, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.
And Pilate went out again and says to them, Lo, I bring him out to you, that ye may know that I find in him no fault whatever.
and went into the praetorium again and says to Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.
And again another scripture says, They shall look on him whom they pierced.
The disciples therefore went away again to their own home.
Jesus said therefore again to them, Peace be to you: as the Father sent me forth, I also send you.
And eight days after, his disciples were again within, and Thomas with them. Jesus comes, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst and said, Peace be to you.
After these things Jesus manifested himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias. And he manifested himself thus.
He says to him again a second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He says to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. He says to him, Shepherd my sheep.
And there was a voice again the second time to him, What God has cleansed, do not thou make common.
And this took place thrice, and again all was drawn up into heaven;
And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked, and some said, We will hear thee again also concerning this.
but bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep the coming feast at Jerusalem; I will return to you again, if God will: and he sailed away from Ephesus.
and having sounded found twenty fathoms, and having gone a little farther and having again sounded they found fifteen fathoms;
For ye have not received a spirit of bondage again for fear, but ye have received a spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Aye, but thou, O man, who art thou that answerest again to God? Shall the thing formed say to him that has formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
And they too, if they abide not in unbelief, shall be grafted in; for God is able again to graft them in.
For to this end Christ has died and lived again, that he might rule over both dead and living.
But thou, why judgest thou thy brother? or again, thou, why dost thou make little of thy brother? for we shall all be placed before the judgment-seat of God.
And again he says, Rejoice, nations, with his people.
And again, Praise the Lord, all ye nations, and let all the peoples laud him.
And again, Esaias says, There shall be the root of Jesse, and one that arises, to rule over the nations: in him shall the nations hope.
And again, The Lord knows the reasonings of the wise that they are vain.
Defraud not one another, unless, it may be, by consent for a time, that ye may devote yourselves to prayer, and again be together, that Satan tempt you not because of your incontinency.
The eye cannot say to the hand, I have not need of thee; or again, the head to the feet, I have not need of you.
and to pass through to Macedonia by you, and again from Macedonia to come to you, and to be set forward by you to Judaea.
Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or do we need, as some, commendatory letters to you, or commendatory from you?
For we do not again commend ourselves to you, but we are giving to you occasion of boast in our behalf, that ye may have such with those boasting in countenance, and not in heart.
Do ye look at what concerns appearance? If any one has confidence in himself that he is of Christ, let him think this again in himself, that even as he is of Christ, so also are we.
Again I say, Let not any one think me to be a fool; but if otherwise, receive me then even as a fool, that I also may boast myself some little.
lest my God should humble me as to you when I come again, and that I shall grieve over many of those who have sinned before, and have not repented as to the uncleanness and fornication and licentiousness which they have practised.
I have declared beforehand, and I say beforehand as present the second time, and now absent, to those that have sinned before, and to all the rest, that if I come again I will not spare.
As we have said before, now also again I say, If any one announce to you as glad tidings anything besides what ye have received, let him be accursed.
nor went I up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and again returned to Damascus.
Then after a lapse of fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus also with me;
For if the things I have thrown down, these I build again, I constitute myself a transgressor.
but now, knowing God, but rather being known by God, how do ye turn again to the weak and beggarly principles to which ye desire to be again anew in bondage?
my children, of whom I again travail in birth until Christ shall have been formed in you:
Christ has set us free in freedom; stand fast therefore, and be not held again in a yoke of bondage.
And I witness again to every man who is circumcised, that he is debtor to do the whole law.
that your boasting may abound in Christ Jesus through me by my presence again with you.
I have sent him therefore the more diligently, that seeing him ye might again rejoice, and that I might be the less sorrowful.
Rejoice in the Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice.
For if we believe that Jesus has died and has risen again, so also God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.
For to which of the angels said he ever, Thou art my Son: this day have I begotten thee? and again, I will be to him for father, and he shall be to me for son?
and again, when he brings in the firstborn into the habitable world, he says, And let all God's angels worship him.
And again, I will trust in him. And again, Behold, I and the children which God has given me.
and in this again, If they shall enter into my rest.
again he determines a certain day, saying, in David, 'To-day,' after so long a time; (according as it has been said before), To-day, if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have again need that one should teach you what are the elements of the beginning of the oracles of God, and are become such as have need of milk, and not of solid food.
Wherefore, leaving the word of the beginning of the Christ, let us go on to what belongs to full growth, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and faith in God,
For it is impossible to renew again to repentance those once enlightened, and who have tasted of the heavenly gift, and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit,
For we know him that said, To me belongs vengeance; I will recompense, saith the Lord: and again, The Lord shall judge his people.
Women received their dead again by resurrection; and others were tortured, not having accepted deliverance, that they might get a better resurrection;
But the God of peace, who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, in the power of the blood of the eternal covenant,
and again he prayed, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth caused its fruit to spring forth.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to his great mercy, has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from among the dead,
being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the living and abiding word of God.
