'Alive' in the Bible

All the prosperous of the earth will eat and worship,All those who go down to the dust will bow before Him,Even he who cannot keep his soul alive.

O Lord, You have brought up my soul from Sheol;You have kept me alive, that I would not go down to the pit.

To deliver their soul from deathAnd to keep them alive in famine.

The Lord will protect him and keep him alive,And he shall be called blessed upon the earth;And do not give him over to the desire of his enemies.

Let death come deceitfully upon them;Let them go down alive to Sheol,For evil is in their dwelling, in their midst.

Then they would have swallowed us alive,When their anger was kindled against us;
