'Among' in the Bible
And having remained among them not more than eight or ten days, he went down to Caesarea; and on the next day, having sat down on the judgment-seat, commanded Paul to be brought.
especially because thou art acquainted with all the customs and questions which are among the Jews; wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.
My manner of life then from my youth, which from its commencement was passed among my nation in Jerusalem, know all the Jews,
taking thee out from among the people, and the nations, to whom I send thee,
to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins and inheritance among them that are sanctified by faith in me.
And being disagreed among themselves they left; Paul having spoken one word, Well spoke the Holy Spirit through Esaias the prophet to our fathers,
And he having said this, the Jews went away, having great reasoning among themselves.
by whom we have received grace and apostleship in behalf of his name, for obedience of faith among all the nations,
among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
that is, to have mutual comfort among you, each by the faith which is in the other, both yours and mine.
But I do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, that I often proposed to come to you, (and have been hindered until the present time,) that I might have some fruit among you too, even as among the other nations also.
Because what is known of God is manifest among them, for God has manifested it to them,
For the name of God is blasphemed on your account among the nations, according as it is written.
but on ours also, to whom, believing on him who has raised from among the dead Jesus our Lord,
We have been buried therefore with him by baptism unto death, in order that, even as Christ has been raised up from among the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in newness of life.
knowing that Christ having been raised up from among the dead dies no more: death has dominion over him no more.
Neither yield your members instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but yield yourselves to God as alive from among the dead, and your members instruments of righteousness to God.
So that, my brethren, ye also have been made dead to the law by the body of the Christ, to be to another, who has been raised up from among the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God.
But if the Spirit of him that has raised up Jesus from among the dead dwell in you, he that has raised up Christ from among the dead shall quicken your mortal bodies also on account of his Spirit which dwells in you.
Because whom he has foreknown, he has also predestinated to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he should be the firstborn among many brethren.
or, Who shall descend into the abyss? that is, to bring up Christ from among the dead.
that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from among the dead, thou shalt be saved.
if by any means I shall provoke to jealousy them which are my flesh, and shall save some from among them.
For if their casting away be the world's reconciliation, what their reception but life from among the dead?
For I say, through the grace which has been given to me, to every one that is among you, not to have high thoughts above what he should think; but to think so as to be wise, as God has dealt to each a measure of faith.
and that the nations should glorify God for mercy; according as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the nations, and will sing to thy name.
Salute Andronicus and Junias, my kinsmen and fellow-captives, who are of note among the apostles; who were also in Christ before me.
Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all say the same thing, and that there be not among you divisions; but that ye be perfectly united in the same mind and in the same opinion.

And God has both raised up the Lord, and will raise us up from among the dead by his power.
For first, when ye come together in assembly, I hear there exist divisions among you, and I partly give credit to it.
For there must also be sects among you, that the approved may become manifest among you.
On this account many among you are weak and infirm, and a good many are fallen asleep.
Now if Christ is preached that he is raised from among the dead, how say some among you that there is not a resurrection of those that are dead?
(But now Christ is raised from among the dead, first-fruits of those fallen asleep.
For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, he who has been preached by us among you (by me and Silvanus and Timotheus), did not become yea and nay, but yea is in him.
and what agreement of God's temple with idols? for ye are the living God's temple; according as God has said, I will dwell among them, and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be to me a people.

He therefore who ministers to you the Spirit, and works miracles among you, is it on the principle of works of law, or of the report of faith?
in which he wrought in the Christ in raising him from among the dead, and he set him down at his right hand in the heavenlies,
among whom we also all once had our conversation in the lusts of our flesh, doing what the flesh and the thoughts willed to do, and were children, by nature, of wrath, even as the rest:
To me, less than the least of all saints, has this grace been given, to announce among the nations the glad tidings of the unsearchable riches of the Christ,
But fornication and all uncleanness or unbridled lust, let it not be even named among you, as it becomes saints;
Wherefore he says, Wake up, thou that sleepest, and arise up from among the dead, and the Christ shall shine upon thee.
that ye may be harmless and simple, irreproachable children of God in the midst of a crooked and perverted generation; among whom ye appear as lights in the world,
if any way I arrive at the resurrection from among the dead.
which are come to you, as they are in all the world, and are bearing fruit and growing, even as also among you, from the day ye heard them and knew indeed the grace of God, in truth:
And he is the head of the body, the assembly; who is the beginning, firstborn from among the dead, that he might have the first place in all things:
to whom God would make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the nations, which is Christ in you the hope of glory:
buried with him in baptism, in which ye have been also raised with him through faith of the working of God who raised him from among the dead.
And when the letter has been read among you, cause that it be read also in the assembly of Laodiceans, and that ye also read that from Laodicea.
For our glad tidings were not with you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance; even as ye know what we were among you for your sakes:
and to await his Son from the heavens, whom he raised from among the dead, Jesus, our deliverer from the coming wrath.
For we have not at any time been among you with flattering discourse, even as ye know, nor with a pretext for covetousness, God is witness;
But we beg you, brethren, to know those who labour among you, and take the lead among you in the Lord, and admonish you,
and to regard them exceedingly in love on account of their work. Be in peace among yourselves.
For ye know yourselves how ye ought to imitate us, because we have not walked disorderly among you;
For we hear that there are some walking among you disorderly, not working at all, but busybodies.
And confessedly the mystery of piety is great. God has been manifested in flesh, has been justified in the Spirit, has appeared to angels, has been preached among the nations, has been believed on in the world, has been received up in glory.
Let the elders who take the lead among the saints well be esteemed worthy of double honour, specially those labouring in word and teaching;
Remember Jesus Christ raised from among the dead, of the seed of David, according to my glad tidings,
And they indeed from among the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have commandment to take tithes from the people according to the law, that is from their brethren, though these are come out of the loins of Abraham:
And they shall not teach each his fellow-citizen, and each his brother, saying, Know the Lord; because all shall know me in themselves, from the little one among them unto the great among them.
counting that God was able to raise him even from among the dead, whence also he received him in a figure.
But the God of peace, who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, in the power of the blood of the eternal covenant,
have ye not made a difference among yourselves, and become judges having evil thoughts?
but the tongue can no one among men tame; it is an unsettled evil, full of death-bringing poison.
Who is wise and understanding among you; let him shew out of a good conversation his works in meekness of wisdom;
Whence come wars and whence fightings among you? Is it not thence, from your pleasures, which war in your members?
Does any one among you suffer evil? let him pray. Is any happy? let him sing psalms.
Is any sick among you? let him call to him the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;
My brethren, if any one among you err from the truth, and one bring him back,
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to his great mercy, has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from among the dead,
who by him do believe on God, who has raised him from among the dead and given him glory, that your faith and hope should be in God.
having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that as to that in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through your good works, themselves witnessing them, glorify God in the day of visitation.
but before all things having fervent love among yourselves, because love covers a multitude of sins;
