'Boy' in the Bible
and saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, with intense and terrible, tormenting pain.”
But the centurion replied to Him, “Lord, I am not worthy to have You come under my roof, but only say the word, and my servant will be healed.
Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go; it will be done for you as you have believed.” And the servant was restored to health at that very hour.
Then Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him, and from that moment the boy was healed.
The boy answered, 'I will not.' But later he had a change of heart and went.
The father went to the other son and said the same thing. This boy answered, 'I will, sir,' but did not go.
"O unbelieving generation!" replied Jesus; "how long must I be with you? how long must I have patience with you? Bring the boy to me."
So they brought him to Him. When the spirit saw Him, it immediately convulsed the boy. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.
Jesus asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he answered, “Since childhood.
Immediately the father of the boy cried out, “I do believe! Help my unbelief.”
Then it came out, shrieking and convulsing him violently. The boy became like a corpse, so that many said, “He’s dead.”
All who heard these things kept them in mind, saying, “What then will this little boy turn out to be?” For the hand of the Lord was certainly with him [to bring about his birth].
The child continued to grow and to become strong in spirit, and he lived in the deserts until the day of his public appearance to Israel [as John the Baptist, the forerunner of the Messiah].
The boy grew up and became strong, filled with wisdom, and God’s grace was on Him.
After those days were over, as they were returning, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but His parents did not know it.
Therefore I did not even consider myself worthy to come to You. But just speak a word, and my slave will be healed.
And a man from the crowd shouted, saying, “Teacher, I beg You to look at my son, for he is my only boy,
As the boy was still approaching, the demon knocked him down and threw him into severe convulsions. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, cured the boy, and gave him back to his father.
And he said, All these things I have done from the time when I was a boy.
“Sir,” the official said to Him, “come down before my boy dies!”
While he was still going down, his slaves met him saying that his boy was alive.
“There’s a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish—but what are they for so many?”
Moses has given you circumcision (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers), and on the Sabbath you circumcise a boy.
If a boy receives circumcision on the Sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me, because I made a man completely healthy on the Sabbath?
They brought the boy home alive and were greatly comforted.
She gave birth to a son, a boy, who is to rule all the nations with an iron scepter. But her child was snatched away and taken to God and to his throne.
When the dragon saw that it had been thrown down to the earth, it pursued the woman who had given birth to the boy.
