'Caused' in the Bible
Her adversaries have become her masters,Her enemies prosper;For the Lord has caused her griefBecause of the multitude of her transgressions;Her little ones have gone awayAs captives before the adversary.
The yoke of my sins was bound on, fastened together by his hand. They settled on my neck; he caused my strength to fail. The LORD placed me in the power of those I cannot resist.

The Lord determined to destroyThe wall of the daughter of Zion.He has stretched out a line,He has not restrained His hand from destroying,And He has caused rampart and wall to lament;They have languished together.
Sit on the earth -- keep silent do the elders of the daughter of Zion, They have caused dust to go up on their head, They have girded on sackcloth, Put down to the earth their head have the virgins of Jerusalem.
The LORD hath done that which he had devised; he hath fulfilled his word that he had commanded in the days of old: he hath thrown down, and hath not pitied: and he hath caused thine enemy to rejoice over thee, he hath set up the horn of thine adversaries.
He hath led me and caused me to walk in darkness, and not in light.
He has caused my flesh and my skin to waste away,He has broken my bones.
In dark places He hath caused me to dwell, As the dead of old.

He hath caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins.
but if he have caused grief, he will have compassion according to the multitude of his loving-kindnesses:
Those who have been put to the sword are better off than those whose death is caused by need of food; for these come to death slowly, burned up like the fruit of the field.
