For Israel has forgotten his Maker and built palaces [and pagan temples],And Judah has built many fortified cities;But I will send a fire upon their cities so that it may consume their palaces and fortresses.
The sword will whirl against and fall on their cities,And will demolish the bars of their gates and fortificationsAnd will consume them because of their counsels.
Where now is your kingThat he may save you [when you are attacked] in all your cities?And your judges of whom you asked,“Give me a king and princes”?
