'Clothes' in the Bible
A very great multitude spread their clothes on the road. Others cut branches from the trees, and spread them on the road.
"When the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes.
So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ The man was speechless.
Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or without clothes and clothe You?
“Then they too will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or without clothes, or sick, or in prison, and not help You?’
Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.
They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on Him [as a king’s robe].
When they had mocked Him, they stripped Him of the robe, put His clothes on Him, and led Him away to crucify Him.
After crucifying Him they divided His clothes by casting lots.
His appearance was bright as lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.
having heard concerning Jesus, came in the crowd behind and touched his clothes;
For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
and His clothes became dazzling—extremely white as no launderer on earth could whiten them.
And they led the colt to Jesus, and cast their clothes upon it, and he sat on it;
and many strewed their clothes on the way, and others cut down branches from the trees and went on strewing them on the way.
And a man in the field must not go back to get his clothes.
Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?
And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.
Then they crucified Him and divided His clothes, casting lots for them to decide what each would get.
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
Really, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fancy clothes? Look! Those who wear fine clothes and live in luxury are in royal palaces.
And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.
As He was praying, the appearance of His face changed, and His clothes became dazzling white.
Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he encountered robbers, who stripped him of his clothes [and belongings], beat him, and went their way [unconcerned], leaving him half dead.
For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.
If that’s how God clothes the grass, which is in the field today and is thrown into the furnace tomorrow, how much more will He do for you—you of little faith?

Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.
Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,
And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.
She saw two angels in white clothes who were sitting down, one at the head and the other at the foot of the place where Jesus' body had been lying.
That disciple whom Jesus kept loving told Peter, "It's the Lord!" When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put his clothes back on, because he was practically naked, and jumped into the sea.
I tell you the solemn truth, when you were young, you tied your clothes around you and went wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and others will tie you up and bring you where you do not want to go."
While He was going, they were gazing into heaven, and suddenly two men in white clothes stood by them.

I never desired anyone's silver, gold, or clothes.

And as they cried out, and cast off their clothes, and threw dust into the air,

For example, a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and dressed in fine clothes, and a poor man dressed in dirty clothes also comes in.
If you look with favor on the man wearing the fine clothes and say, “Sit here in a good place,” and yet you say to the poor man, “Stand over there,” or, “Sit here on the floor by my footstool,”
If a brother or sister is without clothes and lacks daily food
Your wealth is ruined and your clothes are moth-eaten.
Your beauty should not consist of outward things like elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold ornaments or fine clothes.
Save others by snatching them from the fire. To others, show mercy with fear, hating even the clothes stained by their sinful lives.
But you have a few people in Sardis who have not defiled their clothes, and they will walk with Me in white, because they are worthy.
