'Departed' in the Bible

And she said, According unto your words, so be it. And she sent them away, and they departed: and she bound the scarlet line in the window.

They departed and came to the hill country, and remained there for three days until the pursuers returned. Now the pursuers had sought them all along the road, but had not found them.

The Israelis traveled 40 years in the wilderness until the entire nation that is, the warriors who had departed from Egypt had perished because they hadn't listened to the voice of the LORD.
