“What more could have been done for My vineyard that I have not done in it?When I expected it to produce good grapes, why did it yield worthless ones?

Shall I not do to Jerusalem and her imagesJust as I have done to Samaria and her idols?” [declares Assyria].

So that they may see and know,And consider and understand together,That the hand of the Lord has done this,That the Holy One of Israel has created it.

Shout for joy, O heavens, for the Lord has done it!Shout in triumph, you depths of the earth;Break forth into jubilant rejoicing, you mountains,O forest, and every tree in it!For the Lord has redeemed Jacob,And He shows His glory in Israel.

I have declared them to you long ago;Before they came to pass I announced them to you,So that you could not say, ‘My idol has done them,And my carved image and my cast image have commanded them.’
