'Enough' in the Bible

Its foliage was attractive and its fruit plentiful; on it there was food enough for all. Under it the wild animals used to seek shade, and in its branches the birds of the sky used to nest. All creatures used to feed themselves from it.

But how it is he is now able to see, or who made his eyes open, we are not able to say: put the question to him; he is old enough to give an answer for himself.

That was the reason why they said, He is old enough; put the question to him.

“Lord,” said Philip, “show us the Father, and that’s enough for us.”

And Jesus did such a number of other things that, if every one was recorded, it is my opinion that even the world itself is not great enough for the books there would be.

But He did not give him inheritable property, not even enough ground to take a step on, yet He promised that He would give it to Him as a possession, and to his descendants after him.

For [your majesty] the king understands these things, and [therefore] I am also speaking to him with confidence and boldness, since I am convinced that none of these things escape his notice; for this has not been done in a corner [hidden from view, in secret].

And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, and cast out the wheat into the sea.

For it is rare for anyone to die for a righteous person, though somebody might be brave enough to die for a good person.

And Isaiah is even bold enough to say, "I was found by those who did not seek me; I became well known to those who did not ask for me."

Moreover, if they turn from their unbelief, they too will be grafted in. For God is powerful enough to graft them in again;

For I am bold enough to tell you only about what the Messiah has accomplished through me in bringing gentiles to obedience. By my words and actions,

But now, with no further place for work in these regions, and since I have longed for many years to come to you—

[You behave as if] you are already filled [with spiritual wisdom and in need of nothing more]. Already you have become rich [in spiritual gifts]! You [in your conceit] have ascended your thrones and become kings without us; and how I wish [that it were true and] that you did reign as kings, so that we might reign with you.

I say this to make you feel ashamed. Has it come to this, that there is not one person among you who is wise enough to settle disagreements between brothers?

For when you take your food, everyone takes his meal before the other; and one has not enough food, and another is the worse for drink.

That [careless and unworthy participation] is the reason why many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep [in death].
