'Evil' in the Bible
He will not fear evil tidings;His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
I have restrained my feet from every evil way,That I may keep Your word.
The Lord will protect you from all evil;He will keep your soul.

Who devise evil things in their hearts;They continually stir up wars.
“Do not grant, O Lord, the desires of the wicked;Do not promote his evil device, that they not be exalted. Selah.
“May a slanderer not be established in the earth;May evil hunt the violent man speedily.”
Do not incline my heart to any evil thing,To practice deeds of wickednessWith men who do iniquity;And do not let me eat of their delicacies.
Who gives salvation to kings,Who rescues David His servant from the evil sword.
For their feet run to evilAnd they hasten to shed blood.
“But he who listens to me shall live securelyAnd will be at ease from the dread of evil.”
To deliver you from the way of evil,From the man who speaks perverse things;
Who delight in doing evilAnd rejoice in the perversity of evil;
Do not be wise in your own eyes;Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
Do not enter the path of the wickedAnd do not proceed in the way of evil men.
For they cannot sleep unless they do evil;And they are robbed of sleep unless they make someone stumble.
Do not turn to the right nor to the left;Turn your foot from evil.
Who with perversity in his heart continually devises evil,Who spreads strife.
A heart that devises wicked plans,Feet that run rapidly to evil,
To keep you from the evil woman,From the smooth tongue of the adulteress.
“The fear of the Lord is to hate evil;Pride and arrogance and the evil wayAnd the perverted mouth, I hate.
He who is steadfast in righteousness will attain to life,And he who pursues evil will bring about his own death.
Assuredly, the evil man will not go unpunished,But the descendants of the righteous will be delivered.
He who diligently seeks good seeks favor,But he who seeks evil, evil will come to him.
A good man will obtain favor from the Lord,But He will condemn a man who devises evil.
The wicked man desires the booty of evil men,But the root of the righteous yields fruit.
An evil man is ensnared by the transgression of his lips,But the righteous will escape from trouble.
Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,But counselors of peace have joy.
Desire realized is sweet to the soul,But it is an abomination to fools to turn away from evil.
A wise man is cautious and turns away from evil,But a fool is arrogant and careless.
A quick-tempered man acts foolishly,And a man of evil devices is hated.
The evil will bow down before the good,And the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
Will they not go astray who devise evil?But kindness and truth will be to those who devise good.
The eyes of the Lord are in every place,Watching the evil and the good.
Evil plans are an abomination to the Lord,But pleasant words are pure.
The heart of the righteous ponders how to answer,But the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.
The Lord has made everything for its own purpose,Even the wicked for the day of evil.
By lovingkindness and truth iniquity is atoned for,And by the fear of the Lord one keeps away from evil.
The highway of the upright is to depart from evil;He who watches his way preserves his life.

No man has authority to restrain the wind with the wind, or authority over the day of death; and there is no discharge in the time of war, and evil will not deliver those who practice it.
Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly, therefore the hearts of the sons of men among them are given fully to do evil.
Although a sinner does evil a hundred times and may lengthen his life, still I know that it will be well for those who fear God, who fear Him openly.
But it will not be well for the evil man and he will not lengthen his days like a shadow, because he does not fear God.

Moreover, man does not know his time: like fish caught in a treacherous net and birds trapped in a snare, so the sons of men are ensnared at an evil time when it suddenly falls on them.
There is an evil I have seen under the sun, like an error which goes forth from the ruler—
Divide your portion to seven, or even to eight, for you do not know what misfortune may occur on the earth.
Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near when you will say, “I have no delight in them”;
For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.
“Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight.Cease to do evil,
The expression of their faces bears witness against them,And they display their sin like Sodom;They do not even conceal it.Woe to them!For they have brought evil on themselves.
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
Because Aram, with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, has planned evil against you, saying,
He will eat curds and honey at the time He knows enough to refuse evil and choose good.
For before the boy will know enough to refuse evil and choose good, the land whose two kings you dread will be forsaken.

As for a rogue, his weapons are evil;He devises wicked schemesTo destroy the afflicted with slander,Even though the needy one speaks what is right.
He who walks righteously and speaks with sincerity,He who rejects unjust gainAnd shakes his hands so that they hold no bribe;He who stops his ears from hearing about bloodshedAnd shuts his eyes from looking upon evil;
Declare the things that are going to come afterward,That we may know that you are gods;Indeed, do good or evil, that we may anxiously look about us and fear together.
“But evil will come on youWhich you will not know how to charm away;And disaster will fall on youFor which you cannot atone;And destruction about which you do not knowWill come on you suddenly.
“How blessed is the man who does this,And the son of man who takes hold of it;Who keeps from profaning the sabbath,And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”
The righteous man perishes, and no man takes it to heart;And devout men are taken away, while no one understands.For the righteous man is taken away from evil,
Their feet run to evil,And they hasten to shed innocent blood;Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity,Devastation and destruction are in their highways.
Yes, truth is lacking;And he who turns aside from evil makes himself a prey.Now the Lord saw,And it was displeasing in His sight that there was no justice.
I will destine you for the sword,And all of you will bow down to the slaughter.Because I called, but you did not answer;I spoke, but you did not hear.And you did evil in My sightAnd chose that in which I did not delight.”
The wolf and the lamb will graze together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox; and dust will be the serpent’s food. They will do no evil or harm in all My holy mountain,” says the Lord.
