'Insults' in the Bible
Now it is not an enemy who insults me—otherwise I could bear it;it is not a foe who rises up against me—otherwise I could hide from him.
For I have endured insults because of You,and shame has covered my face.
because zeal for Your house has consumed me,and the insults of those who insult Youhave fallen on me.
I mourned and fasted, but it brought me insults.
You know the insults I endure—my shame and disgrace. You are aware of all my adversaries.
Insults have broken my heart, and I am in despair.I waited for sympathy, but there was none;for comforters, but found no one.
Rise up, God, defend Your cause!Remember the insultsthat fools bring against You all day long.
