Do you not know that the Lord God of Israel gave the rule over Israel forever to David and his sons by a covenant of salt?

“His sons achieve honor, but he does not know it;Or they become insignificant, but he does not perceive it.

“What do you know that we do not know?What do you understand that we do not?

“Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked,And this is the place of him who does not know God.”

Know then that God has wronged meAnd has closed His net around me.

“Then be afraid of the sword for yourselves,For wrath brings the punishment of the sword,So that you may know there is judgment.”

“You say, ‘God stores away a man’s iniquity for his sons.’Let God repay him so that he may know it.

“Do you know the time the mountain goats give birth?Do you observe the calving of the deer?

“Can you count the months they fulfill,Or do you know the time they give birth?

‘Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge?’Therefore I have declared that which I did not understand,Things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.”

Put them in fear, O Lord;Let the nations know that they are but men. Selah.

Do all the workers of wickedness not know,Who eat up my people as they eat bread,And do not call upon the Lord?

Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed;He will answer him from His holy heavenWith the saving strength of His right hand.

But at my stumbling they rejoiced and gathered themselves together;The smiters whom I did not know gathered together against me,They slandered me without ceasing.

O continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You,And Your righteousness to the upright in heart.

“Surely every man walks about as a phantom;Surely they make an uproar for nothing;He amasses riches and does not know who will gather them.

By this I know that You are pleased with me,Because my enemy does not shout in triumph over me.

“I know every bird of the mountains,And everything that moves in the field is Mine.
