'Nothing' in the Bible
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Though the prophet's word may come to an end, tongues come to nothing, and knowledge have no more value, love has no end.
By this faith you are saved [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose], if you hold firmly to the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain [just superficially and without complete commitment].
But by the [remarkable] grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not without effect. In fact, I worked harder than all of the apostles, though it was not I, but the grace of God [His unmerited favor and blessing which was] with me.
and if the Messiah has not been raised, then our message means nothing and your faith means nothing.
If in this present life we have a *hope* resting on Christ, and nothing more, we are more to be pitied than all the rest of the world.
If Timothy comes, see that he has nothing to fear from you, because he is doing the Lord’s work, just as I am.
Now we are writing nothing to you other than what you can read and also understand. I hope you will understand completely—
Having then such a hope, we keep nothing back,
We are not again commending ourselves to your favour, but are furnishing you with a ground of boasting on our behalf, so that you may have a reply ready for those with whom superficial appearances are everything and sincerity of heart counts for nothing.
He has made Him who knew nothing of sin to be sin for us, in order that in Him we may become the righteousness of God.
in nothing giving any cause of offence, that the ministration may be not blamed,
As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
We are speaking freely to you, Corinthians [we are keeping nothing back], and our heart is opened wide.
Therefore, "'Come out from among them and separate yourselves,' says the Lord, 'and touch nothing impure; and I will receive you, and will be a Father to you,

You have been severed from Christ, if you seek to be justified [that is, declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing with God] through the Law; you have fallen from grace [for you have lost your grasp on God’s unmerited favor and blessing].
I have confidence in you in the Lord that you will think nothing different, but the one who is confusing you {will pay the penalty}, whoever he may be.
For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
For both circumcision and uncircumcision mean nothing; what matters instead is a new creation.
until we all reach oneness in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, [growing spiritually] to become a mature believer, reaching to the measure of the fullness of Christ [manifesting His spiritual completeness and exercising our spiritual gifts in unity].
There was a time when you were nothing but darkness. Now, as Christians, you are Light itself.
and have nothing to do with the unfruitful actions that darkness produces. Instead, expose them for what they are.

for we hear of certain walking among you disorderly, nothing working, but over working,
If anyone does not obey what we say in this letter, take note of him. Have nothing to do with him so that he will feel ashamed.
And he is to have a good name among those outside the church, so that nothing may be said against him and he may not be taken by the designs of the Evil One.
And let these first be put to the test; then let them become Deacons if there is nothing against them.

Do your best to present yourself to God as an approved worker who has nothing to be ashamed of, handling the word of truth with precision.
But have nothing to do with foolish and ignorant speculations [useless disputes over unedifying, stupid controversies], since you know that they produce strife and give birth to quarrels.
Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
Your message is to be sound beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be ashamed, having nothing bad to say about us.

but a kind of awful and terrifying expectation of [divine] judgment and the fury of a fire and burning wrath which will consume the adversaries [those who put themselves in opposition to God].
and to the blast of a trumpet and a sound of words [such that] those who heard it begged that nothing more be said to them.
My brothers and sisters, consider it nothing but joy when you fall into all sorts of trials,
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
For when the sun comes up with its burning heat, the grass gets dry and the grace of its form is gone with the falling flower; so the man of wealth comes to nothing in his ways.
What use is it, my brothers, for a man to say that he has faith, if he does nothing? will such a faith give him salvation?
Or do you think the Scripture means nothing when it says that the Spirit that God caused to live in us jealously yearns for us?
just as Sarah obeyed Abraham [following him and having regard for him as head of their house], calling him lord. If we say that we have no sin, we are false to ourselves and there is nothing true in us.

For in one hour such great wealth has come to nothing. And every shipmaster, and all who are sailing on the sea, and sailors and all who get their living by the sea, were watching from far away,
Nothing profane will ever enter it: no one who does what is vile or false, but only those written in the Lamb’s book of life.
