When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;

He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.

So He saved them from the hand of the one who hated them,And redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.

They rejected the God who delivered them, the one who performed great deeds in Egypt,

So He said He would have destroyed them—if Moses His chosen onehad not stood before Him in the breachto turn His wrath away from destroying them.

He broke their spirits with hard labor;they stumbled, and there was no one to help.

But he secureth the needy one on high from affliction, and maketh him families like flocks.

to the one who struck down great kings, for his gracious love is everlasting

For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.
