The hater of authority, searching for wisdom, does not get it; but knowledge comes readily to the open-minded man.

Now these were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica. {They} accepted the message with all eagerness, examining the scriptures every day [to see] if these [things] were so.

But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them. Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, - He that is minded to hear, let him hear, And he that is minded to forbear, let him forbear! For a perverse house, they are!

Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus wise minded: and if ye be otherwise minded, I pray God open even this unto you.
