'Overwhelmed' in the Bible

Fear and trembling have come upon me;Horror has overwhelmed me.

From the end of the earth I call to You, when my heart is overwhelmed and weak;Lead me to the rock that is higher than I [a rock that is too high to reach without Your help].

I remember God; then I am disquieted and I groan;I sigh [in prayer], and my spirit grows faint. Selah.

He led them safely, so that they did not fear;But the sea engulfed their enemies.

For we have been consumed by Your angerAnd by Your wrath we have been terrified.

Then the waters would have engulfed us,The torrent would have swept over our soul;

When my spirit was overwhelmed and weak within me [wrapped in darkness],You knew my path.In the way where I walkThey have hidden a trap for me.

Therefore my spirit is overwhelmed and weak within me [wrapped in darkness];My heart grows numb within me.
