'Overwhelmed' in the Bible

So Joshua overwhelmed Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

“For the waves of death encompassed me;The torrents of destruction overwhelmed me;

All day long my dishonor is before meAnd my humiliation has overwhelmed me,

Fear and trembling come upon me,And horror has overwhelmed me.

When my spirit was overwhelmed within me,You knew my path.In the way where I walkThey have hidden a trap for me.

Therefore my spirit is overwhelmed within me;My heart is appalled within me.
