'Pieces' in the Bible
While he was at the table with them, he took the bread, blessed it, broke it in pieces, and gave it to them.
Then the two men began to tell what had happened on the road and how they had recognized him when he broke the bread in pieces.
When they were completely satisfied, Jesus told his disciples, "Collect the pieces that are left over so that nothing is wasted."
So they collected and filled twelve baskets full of pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten.
The quarrel was becoming violent, and the tribune was afraid that they would tear Paul to pieces. So he ordered the soldiers to go down, take him away from them by force, and bring him into the barracks.
But they struck a sandbar and ran the ship aground. The bow stuck and couldn't be moved, while the stern was broken to pieces by the force of the waves.
The rest were to follow, some on planks and others on various pieces of the ship. In this way everyone got to shore safely.
