'Promise' in the Bible

He despises a reprobate, but honors the Lord's loyal followers. He makes firm commitments and does not renege on his promise.

The one true God acts in a faithful manner; the Lord's promise is reliable; he is a shield to all who take shelter in him.

In God -- I boast in his promise -- in God I trust, I am not afraid. What can mere men do to me?

Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore?

Let me listen to what God, the LORD, says; for the LORD will promise peace to his people, to his holy ones; may they not return to foolishness.

For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.

They despised the pleasant landand did not believe His promise.

The Lord makes this promise on oath and will not revoke it: "You are an eternal priest after the pattern of Melchizedek."

Confirm your promise to your servant, which is for those who fear you.

Vav.May Your lovingkindness also come to me, O Lord,Your salvation according to Your promise;

Zayin.Remember [always] the word and promise to Your servant,In which You have made me hope.

This is my comfort in my affliction:Your promise has given me life.

The LORD is my inheritance; I have given my promise to keep your word.
