Then they came to Capernaum. While Jesus was at home, he asked the disciples, "What were you arguing about on the road?"

But they kept silent, because they had argued on the road with one another about who was the greatest.

Looking at him, Jesus felt a love (high regard, compassion) for him, and He said to him, “You lack one thing: go and sell all your property and give [the money] to the poor, and you will have [abundant] treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me [becoming My disciple, believing and trusting in Me and walking the same path of life that I walk].”

Peter started saying to Him, “Look, we have given up everything and followed You [becoming Your disciples and accepting You as Teacher and Lord].”

They were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking ahead of them. They were astonished, but those who followed Him were afraid. Taking the Twelve aside again, He began to tell them the things that would happen to Him.

They came to Jericho. And as He was leaving Jericho with His disciples and a large crowd, Bartimaeus (the son of Timaeus), a blind beggar, was sitting by the road.

“Go your way,” Jesus told him. “Your faith has healed you.” Immediately he could see and began to follow Him on the road.

Many people spread their robes on the road, and others spread leafy branches cut from the fields.
