'Sun' in the Bible

He had seven stars in His right hand; a sharp double-edged sword came from His mouth, and His face was shining like the sun at midday.

Then I saw Him open the sixth seal. A violent earthquake occurred; the sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair; the entire moon became like blood;

They will no longer hunger;they will no longer thirst;the sun will no longer strike them,nor will any heat.

The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because God’s glory illuminates it, and its lamp is the Lamb.
